Fixing Advertising Internet Week NY – June 8, 2010
A sellout crowd descended upon Nest Event Loft for Fixing Advertising’s return to New York for Internet Week for a discussion about the “gangly teenager” of display advertising. A lot of the discussion centered around where we are in the development of the Display space; as Meghan Keane reported in eConsultancy yesterday:
Display advertising may be the red headed stepchild of digital advertising, but brands and marketers are bullish that it is poised to grow in the next few years. According to the panelists at Fixing Advertising in New York this week, there’s a simple reason for that: display has failed to make much progress from the basic premises of traditional advertising.
More great commentary in Meghan’s article, and you can listen for yourself on the podcast to draw your own conclusions.
