What is Fixing Advertising?

Well, I think it’s more about why.  We started Fixing Advertising as a response to the fact that in the last decade, the web has evolved, consumers have more choice in the marketing and advertising they’re exposed to, yet the online marketing channel that started it all has been lagging far behind.  Consider this: since 2003, online display ad spend has nearly doubled while CTR has dropped by a factor of three.  Sounds like something needs fixing.

In come the fixers.  We’ve met quite a lot of them in our travels across the U.S. in panels, podcasts, and meetings aimed at exposing marketers to the best of what our ecosystem has to offer.  Some great minds out there are doing some amazing things to drive down the cost of performance — buying more intelligently, targeting more accurately, and bridging the gap between what marketers have and what consumers want.
